Week 28 – 28 April 2023
I am very proud of the Year 11 students this week. Even when faced with industrial action on Thursday the majority of them came in and worked really hard. We have only a few short weeks of preparation, intervention and revision left and it is lovely to see them putting in the hard work.
Next week, we have the Bank Holiday Monday and also another day of industrial action. School will be open on Tuesday to all Year 11 and those Year 7 students whose parents have requested a place for them, only.
On Thursday, a few of our Year 7 students came into school and helped us to prepare for the King’s Coronation. They made bunting with a focus upon British Culture. If you come into school next week be sure to check out the display in reception; it’s fantastic!
Year 7 ‘Smashed’
Today we welcomed Sam, Mimi and Harri from Smashed to speak to Year 7 about the dangers of alcohol for those under the age of 18, including the impact of peer pressure. Students were well-engaged in the play, asking (and answering!) questions about the content. Well done Year 7!
RAS Achievers – History
Well done to this weeks’ RAS Achievers, nominated by our History department.
Lucy-Anne, Logan and Jacob, well done!
