What I thought I wanted to do: When I started at York High I wanted to go into Early Years and work with young children.
What I ended up doing: Assistant Manager at a pub, helping my General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub.
How I got here: I ended up just running food as a weekend job and eventually worked my way up to a duty manager, then to an assistant manager and soon I could own my own pub!
Most useful skill or character trait for my job: Maths
