What I thought I wanted to do: When I left school I was not sure what I wanted to do and initially wanted to do something relating to history possibly teaching.
What I ended up doing: I am currently a Trainee Solicitor with a local law firm with a focus on property matters.
How I got here: I enjoyed law at A Level leading me to read Law at ULaw for my undergraduate studies (LL.B) and the Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Law. This is when I decided that law was going to be my career path. I began undertaking legal work experience through the Pro Bono schemes at university and with firms in Yorkshire. Eventually I became a paralegal and got a training contract with the firm.
Most useful skill or character trait for my job: Client care, drafting and communication
