What I thought I wanted to do: I initially wanted to be a pilot both in the RAF and commercially.
What I ended up doing: I work at Leeds Bradford Airport developing new routes and services, working with local communities and travel agents to ensure we are targeting airlines and destinations that would be best served from the airport.
How I got here: I started at Leeds Bradford Airport ten years ago in an entry level customer service position, working my way up in the team to become an Airport Duty Manager. Last year an opportunity to further my career materialised which allowed me to progress to my current role.
Most useful skill or character trait for my job: Public speaking and communication.
Top tip! Never be surprised where your career and education take you, you can have a goal in your mind, but never say no to an opportunity.
