What I thought I wanted to do: I always aspired to have a career in health and social care.
What I ended up doing: Children’s oncology haematology nurse.
How I got here: I actually struggled at school and completed my qualifications post-16. I completed my qualifications at college and post-16 sometimes – things don’t go to plan and you have to adapt and take opportunities when they arise.
Most useful skill or character trait for my job: Effective communication and treating everyone with respect and dignity.
Top tip! Hard work and determination will always pay off when you reach the end goal!
