Revision guides

We are often asked which revision guides it would be helpful to buy for your child. This page aims to show you the different revision tools recommended by our departments. In most cases these revision guides are available through school or on websites such as Amazon.

Maths

Maths revision guides are available for £2.85. Workbooks are also available  for £2.85. For extra stretch, there is also a grade 8-9 workbook available for £2.85. Maths exams are from Edexcel exam board.

English Language & English Literature

Collins AQA GCSE 9-1 revision guides are available at a discounted price of £7.50 for the 6 book revision pack when purchased through the finance office, or can be purchased separately online.

Science

AQA revision guides for Trilogy and Triple Science are available to buy for £5.50 each. Trilogy students need one guide that covers the whole of Science. Triple students need 3 guides; Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Geography

A revision guide that covers all topics will be available priced at £2.50.

History

Revision guides can be purchased at £4.00 each.

Child Development

Child Development guides cost £9.00. We are studying the OCR Cambridge National RO18.

Health & Social Care

Health & Social care guides cost £5.50. We are studying the Health and Social Care – Pearson BTEC tech award – component 3.

Languages – Spanish

Exam board: AQA

These resources are provided completely free of charge to all students:

• Pearson vocabulary booklet (Foundation or Higher)
• Pearson Grammar and Translation workbook
• Login to Pearson ActiveLearn provided to every student, free for them to study any topic of their choice at any time.
• Online Quizlet class page (link shared regularly with all students) containing learning sets for all topics studied.

Music

The complete revision guide for GCSE OCR Music is available to buy for £7.50. The Exam Practice Workbook is available for £3.25.

Music Technology

There are no published revision materials for this course so we have made them for you. We have created a revision booklet for the written and practical exam around the NCFE course.

Drama

Revision books available for £2.85 each. We would recommend buying the Blood Brothers play guide.

Computer Science

Revision guides for Computer Science are available at: www.webbuster.education

There are three revision books available at no charge to students:

• Computer Science Text Book (on the website)

Optional revision guides can be purchased:

• Flash cards from Collins – £5
• Learn Python in 1 day and learn it well (copies are available in lessons, your own copy costs £10)
